Their Warm Embrace

There is a time where everyone come around and make simple but thoughtful preparations and surprises for their mothers. It’s a time when we reflect and appreciate our mothers, as well as the people who became a mother-figure to us, whether they are our friends, teachers, relatives and many more. It’s a time a time to remember and acknowledge their hard work and efforts for us and feel their warm embrace.

Mothers want nothing else but for their child to grow up strong, healthy, safe and get educated. They were there by our side since day one. ‘By paying them back’ is not a good phrase to use, but rather by showing them that you appreciate them by doing simple and little things. Showing them respect and making them feel that they are loved by their child is enough for them to be happy.

Before Mother’s Day comes around, which is on May 08, people will start getting busy and planning out their gift or how they want Mother’s Day will go. Children mostly make home-made cards for their mothers, some buy them a bunch of flowers, some even money bouquets! Even chocolates or a simple party with the family. There are so many more ways people celebrate Mother’s Day, but honestly, I know they would be happy with a simple “Happy Mother’s Day, Mommy/Mother/Mama/Ma”, a kiss on the cheek and a warm embrace.

On Mother’s Day, all mothers are acknowledged. Parent/s who are part of the LGBTQ community are also appreciated, as well as people who you see as a mother figure, a friend perhaps? Or your babysitter? Single mothers, adoptive mothers, step mothers and many more are also appreciated and are given respect. For married men out there, greet your wife a ‘Happy Mother’s Day’, too. Since they have been a great mother to your children!

With that said, I want to thank my mom, my grandmothers, other relatives, my mother figures like my friends and teachers for being there with me always. I want to say sorry for all the bad things I’ve done to might have upset you, I would never hold a grudge against you, I have always adored you people and I am thankful to be blessed by kind hearted people who have supported and inspired me to keep going with life.

I also want to acknowledge all the mothers around the world. Whether you are an adoptive or biological mother, a step mother, or a single mother, each and every one of you are appreciated. Thank you for your hard work and always stay safe and healthy. May God bless each and every one of you!

To end this blog is a bible verse: “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”  - Proverbs 31: 28-29

Happy Mother’s Day and go get a warm embrace from your mothers!!! (。・ω・。)
